suitability
A term used in the securities industry to describe the match between the risk characteristics of any investment and the investment needs, risks awareness and risk appetite of any buyer. Brokers and dealers have substantial legal and ethical responsibility to make sure that what they sell is suitable for each buyer. American Banker Glossary
